Congratulations to Drs. Leigh A. Frame and Patrick G. Corr on the launch of the Frame-Corr Lab. Based out of the Department of Clinical Research and Leadership in the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences, this is the first lab of it's kind at George Washington University.
The lab’s research focus is whole person well-being, nutrition, and metabolic health and is conducted in partnership with the GW Center for Integrative Medicine, the Office of Integrative Medicine and Health, the Resiliency & Well-being Center, and faculty and trainees across the Medical Enterprise and the Milken Institute School of Public Health.
The Frame-Corr Lab will be presenting at several upcoming conferences including the 2024 International Congress on Integrative Medicine & Health, the American Society for Nutrition’s Nutrition 2024, the International Human Microbiome Consortium Congress in Italy, and the International Association for Health Professions Education’s AMEE 2024 in Switzerland.
Leigh A. Frame, PhD, MHS, is an associate professor in the departments of Clinical Research and Leadership and Physician Assistant Studies (secondary), director of the Integrative Medicine Programs, associate director of the Resiliency & Well-being Center, and executive director of the Office of Integrative Medicine and Health. She brings nutrition and immunity together through clinical, translational research.
Dr. Frame's T-shaped expertise in health, wellness, science, and medicine was developed through her wide-ranging experience in biomedical research (from wet bench to clinical research) and overseeing research and education programs, including the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) Parkinson's Disease Biomarkers Program (PDBP). She has extensive experience in the design of studies of all sizes and phases of research.
Patrick G. Corr, EdD, MEd, AFAMEE, is the vice director, Integrative Medicine Programs, and an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Research and Leadership. He brings his expertise in qualitative and mixed-methods research, medical education, and student mentoring to the lab.
Dr. Corr teaches coursework in qualitative research methods, public health, and health equity. His research interests are in public health nutrition, subjective well-being, whole person health, and addressing the academic and social inequities that impact health outcomes.
